Um. First there's me of course. Then there's Queen Ashe. She's less of a pirate and more someone we're working with. She was a princess when we met, but after we saved our home, she was crowned queen. She's very stern, ambitious, and kind. And the most talented mage I've ever met.
There's Captain Basch, the leader of the Knights of Dalmasca, her commander. He's...really kind, and easy to talk to, and he served with my brothers before they died in the war.
After him? Fran and Balthier. They're pirates more like me and my best friend Vaan. A viera and a human, they've been together forever. They're...really both quite beautiful, and brave, and kind, if a little troublesome.
Finally, Vaan. He's...a woolheaded guy sometimes, but we grew up together. I can't really imagine life without him anymore. Except here I guess. He's always been a dreamer, and he's a pretty good thief, too.
[While she speaks he goes back to working again but listens as he does so. He glances at her several times as she explains, a small smile pulling his lips. He can tell how much these people mean to her.]
That's... quite the gaggle. [He says, his smile growing.] Queens and captains and thieving pirates. You lead an interesting life, Penelo. They all sound like good people.
I'm sorry about your brothers. [He knows the pain of losing family.]
[Another thing to admire her for. Noel's not nearly as good at moving on. And he knows it.]
I'm pretty sure most families bicker and squabble, so that's good.
[He tenses just a little, not enough to really be that noticeable. There's not many people aside from Lightning, he's made more friends here than he's had... ever??]
... There's Serah. Lightning's sister. She helped me before coming here and she's my best friend. Kind of like a sister to me too. There's Hope who's this big brain, always figuring out ways to help people. He's a good guy. And ... Snow. He's alright.
[That's all he has to say about Snow. He doesn't bring up Caius and Yeul. Not after yesterday.]
Snow's here somewhere. Hopefully not lost. [Noel smirks a bit. He doesn't really care where exactly?? Just kidding, he's a housemate too.]
Hope isn't. You'd probably like him. Oh, there's Sazh too but I never got to talk to him much back home. He's a pilot, so you'd get along with him as well.
[Noel raises an eyebrow, ever more curious about her.]
Running your own courier business and dancing...? You really are full of all sorts of skills.
There's got to be some leeway with working with otherworlders if they know what they're doing. It'll take some getting used to and learning some different things, but you do. That dream doesn't seem too far off.
